This is a podcast from NPR that I put on my Bloglines that features children's books and authors. I listened to an interview with the author of Diary of a Wimpy Kid that was well done.

This is an educational podcast from ASCD called The Whole Child Podcast. It comes out once a month. This month's podcast is about children and summer learning (or not!). I subscribed to it so that it will come to me each month. :)
I used Google to look for podcasts on children's books. I always get "lost" and hours can pass when I start looking at all the stuff that's out there.
How do you create podcasts? Could students create podcasts of their own book reviews or read poems? Sharleen is this similar to the fractured fairy tales we did on the Macs? Was that Voice Threads???

Thing # 3 You Tube
I can't believe I'm BLOGGING this!!! There's so much to learn! I did find some little animated fractured fairy tales, a book commercial, and some rock videos that I could use from You Tube right away in the fall. I also spent A LOT of time looking. Yikes!

Thing #2 RSS Feeds
I think I get this RSS thing. I used Bloglines to get going. I subscribed to the Owatonna Baseball Site as I check that a lot right now. I also added all of your blogs, so now I'm waiting for you all to blog!!! Get going! I also tried to search and find some educational blogs or RSS feeds. I did find a 3rd grade teacher site with an RSS feed...so we'll see how that goes. I am going to continue to look for sites with RSS feeds/blogs on the smartBoard and 21st Century Skills. Let me know if any of you find anything good! This could get addictive and I don't know if I have the TIME!!! I have been impressing my kids with vocab like blogs, avatars and RSS feeds! Oh Yeah!!
